How to use WhaleWatcher.

WhaleWatcher is a market-research system. Use it to detect unusual activity, understand the evidence, compare it with history, set alerts, and paper-test ideas before deciding what deserves more research.

1

Start on the Dashboard

Look at market mood, strongest current names, live whale flow, and Early Warning or Heating Up activity.

Start broad, then drill into a ticker. Avoid searching only for evidence that confirms an idea you already had.
2

Read the Live Whale Feed

The whale feed shows qualifying large-trade activity. Check symbol, direction proxy, notional size, repeat activity, timestamp, and source.

  • Buying means observed behavior suggests buy-side pressure.
  • Selling means observed behavior suggests sell-side pressure.
  • Direction is an inference, not proof of trader identity or intent.
3

Understand Whale Score

Whale Score is a research score, not a guarantee. Higher scores mean more evidence is lining up. Use Why or Why Now? to inspect the evidence and invalidation risks.

4

Use Early Warning and Heating Up

Heating Up surfaces names whose unusual activity is building before they become the strongest whale events. Watch whether score, print count, and notional activity are increasing or fading.

Watching → Heating Up → Whale Detected → Confirmed → Follow-Through

5

Open Why Now?

Use the explanation layer to see what WhaleWatcher sees, what is confirmed, what is inferred, what the strongest evidence is, and what could change the conclusion.

6

Check SEC and Insider Context

Use insider and SEC pages for filing context. Insider activity can matter, but transaction type, timing, and filing details matter too.

7

Review Signal History and Verified Results

WhaleWatcher records qualifying signals so you can inspect follow-through at available horizons such as 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, 5 days, and 30 days.

Pay attention to sample size, hit rate, average return, and losing signals. Verified Results are designed to reduce hindsight and cherry-picking.

8

Use Historical Trends

Historical research helps compare today's setup with prior market behavior. Treat analogues as context, not destiny.

9

Set Watchlists and Alerts

Follow the tickers you care about. Useful alerts tell you what changed, such as a score jump, repeated large prints, a new whale stage, or meaningful insider activity.

10

Use the Paper Simulator

The simulator lets you test WhaleWatcher ideas with fake money. Review entries, exits, P/L, win rate, and the ledger without sending real broker orders.

What WhaleWatcher does not do

WhaleWatcher provides market data, analytics, research tools, simulations, and AI-generated insights for informational and educational purposes. It is not financial advice, and no signal, Whale Score, historical result, or simulation guarantees a future outcome.
